Voting Buttons in Microsoft Outlook 2010

Megha Kainth, 15 September 2012

On every Friday evening we all staff at Magnetism get together for drinks and nibbles. Every week I need to do a member count before organising drinks for all staff members. To achieve this I use the functionality of voting buttons in MS Outlook. In this blog post I will describe how to use these voting buttons.

Create new e-mail in Outlook. To do this, click on New E-mail icon on the ribbon menu. Click on Options Tab and then click on the Use Voting Buttons drop down menu.

You can choose an option from the dropdown or you can create your own custom option list.

To create a custom option list click on Custom and enter the required details. You can choose tracking options such as Request a delivery receipt for this message and Request a read receipt for this message. You can also choose the delivery options such as have replies sent to another person. Click on Close once you have completed these custom properties.
