Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 – Campaign Templates

In this blog post I will elaborate about the attributes of Campaign Template in Dynamics CRM 2011. You can create Campaign templates to follow the same method in related campaigns.

You can follow the two methods mentioned below to create a Campaign Template:

1) Create a new blank Campaign Template:

Navigate into Marketing, click on Campaigns

Click on the New Template button in the ribbon menu and fill in the necessary data in desired fields and click on Save & Close. 

2) You can also create a Template based on a previous campaign:

Open the existing Campaign from which you would like to create a template and click on Copy as Template in the ribbon menu. This will open up a new template form; fill in all the required details. You will notice that some of the fields will be auto-filled with information from the existing campaign. Click Save & Close once you finished editing you template.

To create a Campaign from a Template:

Navigate to Marketing, click on Campaigns. From the list select and open a template. Then click on the Copy as a Campaign button in the ribbon menu. Give a name to this campaign and edit the required details, then click Save & Close.

You can add Planning activities, campaign activities, target products, sales literature to your Campaign.
