By using ‘Sales Territories’ functionality in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011, we can group users into one territory with a common manager for a specific territory. In this blog post I will discuss how to create Sales Territories in Dynamics CRM 2011.
To create sales territories Click on ‘Settings’ > Click on ‘Business Management’ > Click on ‘Sales Territories’.
To create a new territory, Click on ‘New’ and enter the territory name. We can also assign a manager to our newly created territory.
We can add and remove members to Territory. To do this, click on ‘Members’ and then click on ‘Add Members’.
It is worth a mention, that the users can only be assigned to a single territory i.e. Users can only be assigned to new territories once they are removed from any previously assigned territories.
It is a very vital tool for creating reports in Microsoft Dynamics CRM such as Sales Reports.
