With this release we see that Microsoft has focused on the Mobile workforce with the introduction of dedicated applications for Apple iPhones & iPads as well as Blackberry, Android and of course our favorite Windows Phone 7. The new mobile applications work with both CRM online and On-Premise (IFD) deployments, so no one is left out. At this stage we have it priced at US$30 per user per month that will allow a user to connect up to 3 devices. A “Full” licence is required. 10 languages are supported from day one. And will it support off line access...? the answer is YES! Other things to note are as follows:
Form Factor | Device | Operating System
Smartphone | |||
Windows Phone | 7.5+ | ||
Apple iPhones 3GS+ | iOS 5+
Googly Android | 2.2+ | ||
RIM Blackberry | 6.x and 7.x
Tablets | |||
Apple iPad/iPad2 | iOS 5+ |
As you see from the screen shots below the iPad is displaying a rich client, including dashboards and map integration (Googly Maps are the supported mapping tool at this time as it runs native on Apple devices) also note that there is a strong resemblance to CWR Mobility with these applications. However we still expect the CWR Team to continue development on their products.
