CRM 2011 R8: CRM Mobile

CRM2011 R8: CRM Mobile*

In R8 we see the launch of a new product named Microsoft Dynamics CRM Mobile. This will be a cloud based application but will also be available via CWR as an on premise deployment. Until now, a very basic mobile client named Mobile Express existed. Mobile express would only run on a device with a compatible browser and only when this device was connected to the internet, however mobile express will still be available.

CRM Mobile will allow CRM Online, partner-hosted and on-premise customers who have internet facing deployments to use CRM on up to three devices per user licence for a fee of $30.00USD per user per month

Included in this release will be native clients which means full offline support on all of the top mobile platforms such as

• Windows Phone 7.5
• iPhone and iPod
• Android
• BlackBerry

The beauty of Dynamics CRM Mobile is that all security, configuration and management are taken care of in the cloud.  There is advanced security also in which an Administrator can remotely wipe data from a given device if it is stolen or lost. Security policies from the server can also be enforced.

Dynamics CRM Mobile will have inbuilt zero-touch mobile updates which will keep your CRM data sync’d and up to date in the background without the need to ever need to manually update.
