Installing an Organisation Trial of CWR Mobile CRM for a Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Organisation

For evaluation purposes there are two types of free 30-day trials provided by CWR Mobility. These are: 

• Personal Trial: Allows you to trial CWR Mobile CRM with sample data provided by CWR Mobility. This is limited to a single user and a predefined sample database.

• Organisation Trial: Allows you to trial the CWR Mobile CRM with your own deployment of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. This is limited to five users defined in your own Microsoft Dynamics CRM organisation. 

In this blog I will outline the high-level process for setting up an Organisation Trial of CWR Mobile CRM against a trial version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online. 

To start you need to have a trial version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online. The instructions provided in this blog will guide you through the process of setting up a Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online trial. 

You then need to locate the Organisation Unique Name of your Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online organisation. This is located in Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online under Settings, Customisations, Developer Resources. The Organisation Unique Name is required to register for a CWR Mobile CRM – Organisation Trial. 

You may now navigate to the CWR Mobile CRM - FREE Trial page and/or to CWR Mobile CRM – Organisation Trial page to register for a CWR Mobile CRM – Organisation Trial. 

After sending your registration you will be sent a Welcome email from CWR Mobility. This email provides instructions for setting up your CWR Mobile CRM – Organisation Trial. The following is an abbreviated set of instructions: 

• Download the CWR Mobile CRM Solution File.

• From Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online:

◦ Import and publish the CWR Mobile CRM Solution File. Refer to Settings, Solutions, Import.




◦ The CWR Mobile CRM Solution File installs the CWR Mobile CRM solution components into your Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online organisation. A new CWR Mobile CRM group is added to the Settings area on the Site Map in Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online: 

 

• From Internet Explorer

◦ Add cwrm.net to the list of Sites under Internet Options, Privacy, Sites.



• From Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online

◦ Select Settings, CWR Configurator and logon to CWR Mobile CRM Online using your trial Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online User Name and Password



◦ The Mobile Administration page will be displayed. From this page select Users: 






◦ From the Users page, Double-click your Mobile User Profile to open it.

 


◦ Select a Default Profile from the list of Profiles, e.g. Default Sales Profile, and click Save.

 

◦ Click Add to add a Device to your Mobile User Profile, e.g. Android, iPhone/iPad, Windows Phone etc., and click OK.







 

• From your Mobile Device:

◦ Download and install the CWR Mobile CRM 2011 from the app store.

 

◦ Open the CWR Mobile CRM 2011 app.



◦ Important: Because this is an Organisation Trial it is import to select NO at the First time startup screen.



• From the CWR Mobile CRM Settings screen:

◦ Enter the Server URL, Organisation, Username and Password. 

Note: Enter https://m.crwm.net as the Server URL and enter your Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Unique Organisation Name, User Name and Password as the Organisation, Username and Password. The Domain and Home Realm URL are not required for a connection to Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online.

◦ Leave the “Perform first synchronisation?” option selected.

◦ Click Initialise.



◦ Your local CWR Mobile CRM database will now be initialised and synchronised with your Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online organisation. This takes only a few minutes to complete.



◦ Once the initialization and synchronisation steps have completed your trial of CWR Mobile CRM is ready for you to use.

As you use your CWR Mobile CRM trial you can select Synchronise to synchronise data between your CWR Mobile CRM client and your Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online organisation.

In conclusion, the process for setting up an Organisation Trial of CWR Mobile CRM is very simple. The Organisation Trial allows you to connect your CWR Mobile CRM client to your own Microsoft Dynamics CRM organisation and allows you to configure the trial for up to five users.
