Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Visio Stencil Set - Part 3

Simon Phillips, 07 December 2010

If you have read my other 2 blogs you will know that I am currently building a Dynamics CRM 2011 Visio Stencil Set. You will also know all about the features and controls that I have added to all the different field types that I have already built.

In this blog I am going to explain what else I have done to make the creation of new entities easier. Let me start by showing you what I mean by this. Below are some examples:

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Visio Stencil Set - Part 3

As you can see I have put a lot of thought and effort into these stencils to make it easier for you, the user to well, use them. Here you will see the navigation links to all the different sections, I have made them so that you can keep stacking them up and have as many as you want to fulfil your need and then on your last one you can make it not look weird by making it the last on the list as you can see in the below image.

Next is what I keep calling the side navigation, or for more technical people the related entities. First for this section is the area menus which are for example; Sales or Marketing. I have added to this control the ability to make it look as if it is ‘?’ so that if you don’t need to show or just don’t want to show which entities are under it you just select this option.

Finally are the actual related entities I have provided many of the system relations that come out of the box as well as one for new relationships which just shows the icon as a cog.
