Do you use Dynamics CRM and Xero? If you do, you are most likely fed up of having to enter data twice in both systems taking up precious time and leaving a margin for error. Maybe you have just Dynamics CRM but wish you could track invoicing and customer payments better than Dynamics CRM does alone out of the box. Like you, we also came across these issues and jumped into action. We have now created a solution that solves them with our Dynamics CRM to Xero Online Accounting Connector.
For this plugin to work we have made some minor form changes to both the Account and the Invoice forms also added some new entities
Below you can see the changes we have made to the Account form.
The main bits you need to know are the “Is Xero Account” and “Synched With Xero” they are fairly self-explanatory but basically, the “Is Xero Account” means that the account can be found in Xero, and “Synched With Xero” shows weather the account has or hasn’t been synched with Xero.
Next is the Invoice form.
This here is exactly like you saw above and the fields that you need to be looking at are the same and they mean the same thing.
But just synchronising the Accounts and Invoices from Dynamics CRM isn’t enough so when an Invoice gets marked as paid in Xero the invoice in CRM is marked as complete and a Payments record is created and associated to the loan. Credit notes can also be added to CRM when created in Xero.
To make navigation between the two systems easier we have added a button to the top of both the Account and the Invoice forms to open that record in Xero.
